A vegan and gluten free corporate cake decorating event in San Francisco is straightforward to plan as long as you tell us the dietary needs at least seven days ahead. We prepare vegan, egg free, and gluten free cakes and cupcakes alongside the standard ones, so every guest decorates and enjoys their own without feeling singled out.

Dietary planning is one of the most common worries for corporate event planners, and dessert activities can feel especially tricky. The good news is that inclusion is built into how we run our classes. When we know in advance, we bake the right options for the right guests, and the experience looks and feels the same for everyone at the table.

At Olesia Cake Studio, we host these events for teams across San Francisco and the Bay Area. Here is what planners need to know.

Quick Planner Summary

Collect dietary needs from your team early and send them to us at least seven days before the event. We provide vegan, egg free, and gluten free cakes or cupcakes for the guests who need them, prepared with the same care as the standard cakes. Everyone joins the same class, decorates their own dessert, and takes it home.

How Dietary Options Work in Our Classes

When you book, we ask for a headcount and any dietary requirements. For each guest who needs it, we prepare a vegan, egg free, or gluten free base cake or cupcake so they take part in the exact same activity. There is no separate table and no waiting around. The instructor guides the whole group through the same steps at the same time.

Because we bake to order, we need the final dietary counts at least seven days before the event. That lead time lets us source the right ingredients and prepare everything fresh.

Which Class Format to Choose

Our Cake Decorating Class gives each guest a four inch round or heart shaped cake, or a floral dome cake, to decorate with American buttercream and piping tools over about two hours. Our Cupcake Decorating Class runs about one to one and a half hours and is easier for large groups, since guests can take part in waves. Our Cake Painting Class has guests paint a cake with edible colors and palette knives in about one and a half hours.

All three formats support vegan, egg free, and gluten free options, so you can pick the format based on your group size and schedule rather than around dietary limits.

Serving a Mixed Group

Most corporate teams are mixed, with some guests who need dietary options and many who do not. That is exactly what these classes are built for. We label and organize the prepared cakes so each guest receives the right one, and the frostings and decorating materials are shared, which keeps the room feeling unified rather than divided.

If you have guests with allergies beyond the standard vegan and gluten free requests, tell us during planning and we will let you know what we can accommodate.

A helpful tip for planners is to collect dietary needs at the same time you collect the guest count, rather than as two separate steps. A single sign up form that asks for both keeps everything in one place and makes it easy to send us accurate numbers before the seven day deadline. It also spares you the last minute scramble of chasing down a few missing responses in the final week.

What Is Included

Every event includes pre baked cakes or cupcakes, decorating tools and materials, American buttercream, custom frosting colors, a professional instructor, assistant support, setup, cleanup, and individual take home boxes. Our studio at 2940 16th Street in San Francisco hosts up to thirty guests, and for larger teams we travel to offices and venues across the Bay Area, including Oakland, Berkeley, San Mateo, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Santa Clara, and San Jose.

You can also add company colors, edible logos, themed decorations, or custom toppers if you want the event to feel branded.

Plan an Inclusive Cake Decorating Event in San Francisco

A dessert activity does not have to exclude anyone. With a little planning and seven days of notice, a cake decorating event can welcome vegan, egg free, and gluten free guests right alongside everyone else. Send us your headcount and dietary needs, along with your preferred date and location, and we will put together a plan.

Pricing depends on your group size, the class format, and the location, so the best next step is to request a custom quote.
